Default The State of 10/20(6-max)

I have a friend who in my opinion is a solid player who just suffered a 1000BB slide at 10/20(6-max)playing various sites. I am curious what BB/100 players are making at that limit nowadays.

If you have more than 25k hands at that limit in the last year or so, I would tremendously appreciate your total hands and BB/100. If you dont want to specifically give your win (or loss) rate a range would be fine as well. Also anyone could PM me if you would rather not post it here.

Finally, especially for those of you with large databases, any data from players you have a large sample on even if it isn't you would also be helpful.

Opinions are welcome.

Thank you in advance.

I'll look mine up when I get home, but I think the main difference you'll find is between the first six months of the year and the last six months (or so). Some of this is legislation-related and some is probably increased competition, etc.

My guess offhand is that my BB/100 at 10/20 is probably .5 or less over the last six months, but I'm not sure. I mix what limits I play and I've had some horrendous downswings during this period (at least one of 550BB+). The variance is certainly higher than it used to be.

I would be very interested if somebody had 5 million+ hands on stars midlimits. Is anybody with over 100k hands a 2BB/100 winner?

I think the games are tough and you need good game selection to beat the rake.

I am some fair amount over 2BB/100 at the mid-limits, spanning about 200K hands. However, most of my play there was about a year ago.

The games were definitely softer at the time, but from my recent adventures there, I think they are probably beatable for 1.5 or so by a decent player. (This is based on what I've seen at Stars.)

I think the lack of responses here is partial evidence that nobody is crushing these games. Everyone talks about what a good player "could" or "should" do but theoretical data and actual data are very often conflicting. The main reason (and I know you know this) is the rake.

Cartman: we can talk more about this later on AIM.

I have 20k hands at this limit since august and am just under 2.5/100 although it was higher before this became a place where I blew off steam from bigger limits

There are some very soft games out there. You just have to be selective and LEAVE quickly if the fish leave.
I still regularly see passive guys with vpip 50 to 80, and pfr 2 to 5%. With two guys like this in a 6 max game I don't really see how you can lose.

Your essentially playing a game with an extra dead blind.

I only have like 22k recently from 10/20 to 25/50 but i'm at 1.9/100.
I also have pretty meticulous game selection and am not ashamed to play 5/10 (or O/8b) if the 10 & 15 games are no bueno.
