BSG hands-down. Lost is for middle-age women with not enough to do.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think you meant General Hospital, or Days of Our Lives.

Lost is WAY better than you're giving it credit for.

Lost is for women, but Battlestar Galactica is for nerds. And there are better options for women(Firefly) and nerds(Firefly).

Have you seen The Wire or The Shield?

I have a hard time believing that anyone who says this has actually seen the new Battlestar Galactica. But then again, I don't think Firefly is for nerds, either.

BSG is just as un-sci-fi as Firefly and is on par with Firefly's writing.

Watch the 2-hour pilot episode of Lost first. If that's not enough to completely hook you on the show, then it's really not for you, so move on to BSG.

BG>>Lost. BG won Time's best TV show of 2005, though I believe it's second best after The Wire.

Watch the mini-series first.

Firefly is an even better show that you may not have seen and it's only one season long.

It IS close, but I'd go with BSG.

By the way, the miniseries comes with the season 1 dvd set, so seeing it doesn't require any extra effort or cost (except a coupla hours, and it's definitely worth that).
