Default 5NL Folded to me in SB with 88 vs 88/35/2.5

UTG ($4.25)
MP ($4.13)
Button ($10.21)
Hero ($4.97)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

I just raised this one 3x's instead of 4x's that way my cbet is smaller. Maybe this is the wrong way to look at it.

I know if I raise he is calling with ATC and he will not fold to my flop cbet. I was going to play it for set value and just limp preflop but I know thats always wrong.

Is this standard for this situation?

Flop: ($0.12) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $0.08, BB calls $0.08.

Turn: ($0.28) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $0.22, Hero folds.

Im thinking that playing this hand to lose the least is the wrong way to go about it. These types of villians give me the most problems. They don't fold and its hard to take them to valuetown with to overs on the flop.
Final Pot: $0.50
