You know, now that these Nigerian scams have really gotten into the public eye the past few years, how does anyone still fall for this? Even if someone's never heard of the scam, wouldn't that person eventually talk to their friends, one of whom would have heard about it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Sucker. I didn't tell any of my friends and so I am going to get to keep all of the money for myself!!

Writing a check seems like a lot of work. Do you think I can just send them my bank account information and let them process it electronically?

Anybody see these guys on "To Catch an Identity Theft"

Awesome stuff.

Yeah, that [censored] spent every dollar he had in the world shipping [censored] to a fake woman in Africa. Chris Hansen asked him how much and he said $40,000. Riddle me this, Caped Crusader: How the [censored] did someone stupid enough to fall for this [censored] get $40,000 ahead in the first place? And I mean, that [censored] was dumb as hell, too.

[/ QUOTE ]

Some whack job has tried talking to me on yahoo a few times.. I knew it was a scam and I played along.. apparently this hot chick who went to the same college I did, is in Africa and her store burned down and she needs someone to ship her stuff. I was like wow OK! What do you need me to ship you? Her obvious answer was items to get her store back in operation, such as office supplies and electronic equipment. She would pay me for the items and the postage first obviously, by just giving her my bank account information. I gave her a bunch of random numbers for a routing and bank acct #.

A few days later I got another message saying something was wrong and the account didn't work for a deposit. So I had them try a new set of random #'s, wonder how long I can keep messing with them.
