My income fluctuated a lot for about a year because of my position, but from steady paychecks as an E4 to steady paychecks as a W1 it was about 100%. Quality of life increased by about 1000%.

I call BS

take home 2.5k per month before deployment.

Take home 8.5k while In Iraq. Massive jump in income.

But not worth the shrapnel
