Default OnGame Poker Network Statement

I'm sure this would belong in the official statements listing but I'll let the veterans take it where it belongs. Seems like we are being put out of Pokerroom, Americas Cardroom etc come Monday.....

Where do you get Monday from?

Hollywood Poker issued a statement saying that their players have 30 days.

Full Contact said players will be able to play until they seictch networks.

Pokerroom said American players are still welcome to deposit and play.

As all Ongame Network operators will no longer be accepting new US players or new deposits from existing US players after Monday October 16, we have eliminated the guarantees for a $5M purse and a $1M first prize.

From the OnGame website:

[ QUOTE ]
The bwin Group has over 10 million registered customers (including 7 million “play money” customers) in over 20 core target markets.

[/ QUOTE ]

From their email and statements yesterday:

[ QUOTE ]
For the year 2006 the Ongame customer base also includes some 177,000 active real money customers not resident in the US.

[/ QUOTE ]

They had said that 22% of bwin's business comes from US clients. That is because their sportsbook has almost no US customers. OnGame has a lot more than 20% of their business from US customers. You can to the do the math (it is more like 60%).

Support with Check N Raise, another Ongame, now claims that exsisting players will not be shut out per se. No new US clients and likely no depositing, but they wont be banned from playing or withdrawling. He said the reference to the technical issue in the original statement meant till they will finish software that bans new clients.
According to some at Pokerroom, US players are 80% of that site specifically, Subject change.....I was successful in wding from 7 Sultans w/o issue and will pull 95% of my roll at Pokerroom.

7 Sultans isn't leaving the U.S. market, except for the states that Microgaming has banned, so you shouldn't have a problem there in any case.

As for OnGame, they haven't completely banned the existing customers yet, the skin(s) that is/are leaving hasn't/haven't left yet, and their traffic is dropping fast. I don't think I'd leave *any* money in a company that was struggling financially to begin with and suddenly loses a big chunk of its revenue. It takes some truly awe-inspiring bonuses to make that +EV.

True dat. I have a 7x $250 bonus left on Poker Room but I'm afraid to leave any of my roll there. It would be great if they allowed 30 days like Hollywood but I'm not holding my breath.
