Default K9o in the SB..

Folds around to me in the SB

with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

:::K9 isn't awesome, but better than a random hand. So I raise:::

Blinds 50/100
Hero has ~1800
HERO raises to 300
BB calls

flop 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
::: Should I continue bet here? what's your plan?:::
HERO bets 400 into a 600 pot
villian calls

turn is K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
:::Yea, I'm behind an eight, but ahead of any pocket pair so I shove:::

HERO shoves for ~ pot size bet

Tear it apart...What do you think of this hand?

villain flat called your correct flop bet. you are way ahead or way behind on turn. now you have a hand so now it is correct to check.

i'm not opposing your view, i understand it for sure.
how big of a bet do you call on the turn? 1/2 pot, 3/4 pot, pot, all-in? i'm just asking b/c if you're folding to most bets, then you're folding the best hands many times i think.

I would pass on this PF with an M of 12. Just not playable IMO. But, I would check the flop, jam the turn since there is so much in the pot already.

Folding K9o in the SB is too tight but I'd be interested to know if there was a plan if villain shoved.
As played I'm just about in agreement with its WA/WB enough to check turn (assuming we're never intending to fold) There are some draws...I don't think quite enough to make me feel the need to bet.

I could be wrong but think shoving pre flop is +EV.

I prefer the 3XBB bet though.

On flop I would tend not to c bet, but just try a CR all in to represent an 8.
This seems to work at the 4/180s anyway.

Once you c bet and he calls you're pretty much committed IMO so I would also shove, maybe a 7 or smaller pair calls.

What about image - any chance he think's you're bluffing the whole way through?
