Wouldn't give up my hearing for any ammount of money, no doubt about it. As previously stated, the only sense I'd even consider giving up is smell, but if taste goes with it, no way!

I've got tinnitus already and I'm only 20, hurrah for 100 Watt guitar amplifiers!

Oh noooo, certainly not! I was young once, reckless etc. Been playing in bands for the past 5 years or so, and loud drummers seem to be the main problem. Crash cymbals and snare's seem to do the most damage!

Being a teenager I assumed I was indestructible...turns out my ears aren't, so I've started turning down a wee bit and also wearing plugs when possible. It makes singing difficult, which is my only problem with them. But I'd suggest them to anyone who is going to be exposed to high SPL's for prolonged periods, power tools, firearms, musical instruments etc. I'm glad I learnt my lesson before any more damage was done!

Cheers

I call BS.

But not for 20 million? For most people, what's the difference? Is your own personal island worth losing hearing for, but not a sick mansion and a ton of exotic foreign cars?
