"none of the variables can be negative"

Does that mean X > 0 or the coefficient > 0?

2 equations, 4 unknowns. do i just substitute? when doing so things get really cumbersome.

$25 transfer on stars (when i get home tonight) if someone wants to tackle it (probably easy to you geeks). first person gets $$.

6w + 6x + 4y + 2z = 5

w + x + y + z = 1

[/ QUOTE ]

w = 0.25 x = 0.25 y = 0.5 z = 0

6(.25) + 6(.25) + 4(.5) + 0 = 5
1.5 + 1.5 + 2 = 5

0.25 + 0.25 + 0.5 + 0 = 1

If you throw in that 3rd equation..this doesn't work

y = 0.5 -2z
x = 0.5 + -1y

you need 1 more equation
