Checking is so retardedly results oriented it's not even funny. The read is the guy is a fish. You have a set. You value bet (and protect your hand) because your hand is best the vast majority (although very easy to draw out on) of the time and he calls you with way worse the vast majority of the time. He raises you so this is obviously not the vast majority of the time, so you re-evaluate and make your decision.

Checking is disgusting given the read here.

You know what I totally agree.

OMG we have a set, bet! How many hands can easily draw out on us? What range of hands is going to pay off on the turn but not if we VB the river? What is the probability that that turn card improved opponents hand? Isn't it likely that a hand like pair + club is going to bet the turn for us anyways? What about if he has like 22 and decides to bluff the turn?

Thanks for giving yet another reason to BET. The read on this guy is quote: "huge moron fish". He's paying off with wayyyy worse hands here and we need to bet this turn to ensure we can get the money in on the river if we so desire.

Being 2 buyins deep is a reason to bet, rofl, seriously by betting here you are putting yourself into a position to totally stack off 2 buyins deep vs a flush, a flush he payed 24 to make and can very reasonably have. You are totally NOT looking to make the pot big here 2 buyins deep. You check here for various reasons.

1: If he doesnt have flush we want to extract value, but we shouldnt really try to go for stacks here its too value thin here to try and somehow get him to pay us off totally with a non flush. Checking here vs betting accomplishes this just the same
2: If he does have a flush, we kept the pot small and thus payed him of very little.
3: If he does have a flush and the board pairs we will still get the money in easy.

What more do you want?

We still get all the value out of non flush hands we can reasonable hope for, we dont seriously pay off a flush, and we still get his stack when the board pairs and he has a flush? I basicly dont see the upside of your line, xept your pipe dream of a the guy fully stacking off here with 2 pair.

I like the way you analyzed the possible options and thoroughly agree with you!

I can't believe this is for real.

Geezus. The read is "HUGE MORON FISH", yet some of you are putting his range at roughly 100% flush draw he calls you on this flop. His range is so retardedly wide here, 34, 45, 56, 67, 78, 89, 9T, Jx, wide variety of pocket pairs, two gappers along the same range: 46, 57, 68, 79, etc.

You are behind exactly 9T and the flush draws. You are ahead of just about every other hand, but many of them have at least 4 outs and many have 11 outs against you and will call a bet, but check the turn if checked to.

You need to bet for value. You need to bet for protection. Checking is so bad.

Ya, the fact that he limp/called preflop instead of raising makes it less likely he has a big club to call/push the turn with.

But if he is a huge moron donk, betting this turn is fine.
