As for me, I never bet against Denver when they're at home--in any sport.

This is a big game, and I never bet on Peyton Manning to win a big game.

Standard. Should be added to the FAQ.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned that Booger should make a difference for Indy. The Colts did a pretty good job of limiting the Skins ability to establish their running game with Booger in the lineup. I don't expect Denver to run the ball effectively against Indy but on the other hand the Denver D won't be a picnic for Peyton & the Indy offense either. There has to be a better game to bet on.

I'd lean toward Indy with the points as it looks like an even low-scoring matchup that will likely be decided by a FG one way or the other. I think the real value's with the under though. The game can go 9 points over Denver's season-high total, and still go under. I know Indy's a high-scoring team, but I can't see any Denver game going over 38 right now

Losing a left tackle is not the same as losing a guard or center for the run game, but their run game is pretty anemic. The left tackle is most important for the protection of the quarterback. Their passing game was worthless before Lepsis' injury and it will be worse afterwards. Jake rolls left on his naked bootlegs, which will make those plays more risky without having to respect the left tackle's run blocking. Here are the pathetic Denver offensive stats, they are facts.

With respect to my earlier ramblings, I diverged from facts into prognostications, which I apologize and will not waste your time in the future.

I like Indy and the under in this game, though Indy could score 38 just like they exploded in the second half on Washington last week.

As far as betting the Denver home field advantage, I recall what Jacksonville and the Steelers have been able to do here. It will be interesting to see which QB can blow the big game. I think that Peyton will come through.

I put my finger on your logic problem, it is not a big game for Indy but it is a big game for Denver. Take Indy, bet the money line and count your chickens.

That is an excellent point. Indy is coasting with 3 games over Jacksonville while Denver is looking at the Chargers who are only one game behind with a weak schedule.

As an aside, evidently, steroids made Merriman's head pointy? Check this pic http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/teams/...3&team=sdg

Mike Shanahan is undoubtedly a coach capable of beating peyton manning at home. I still don't see much value in betting either way, Peyton has a shot at any game.

Ye of little faith.

The only thing that I have faith in regarding the Denver defense is that it will be exposed. Their offense came to life, but the Colts defense is nothing to write home about, either.

I dont know how you can say the Denver D got exposed.

The Colts just happen to have 2 all-pro caliber wide recievers, Champ Bailey can't cover both of them.

Oh yeah, most QB's are not quite as good as Peyton Manning.

I hope all the pro Denver betters either bet on the Colts or at least layed off the game completely, I don't offer advice often but I was the very first Champion football prognosticator!!
