Default Daily Double. BTN steal flops a five out draw.

Full Tilt Poker, NL Hold'em Tournament, 800/1,600 Blinds, 200 Ante, 9 Players
LegoPoker Hand History Converter

UTG+1: 10,012
UTG+2: 31,937
MP1: 28,595
MP2: 21,090
CO: 33,349
Hero (BTN): 20,094
SB: 31,834
BB: 33,820
UTG: 22,081

Pre-Flop: (4,200) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
6 folds, Hero raises to 4,350, SB folds, BB calls 2,750

Flop: (11,300) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets 3,200

BB struck me as fairly solid and thinking. I've stolen from the BTN 2 times in the last 7 orbits due to excessive activity from everyone else.

What range do you put your typical $10 MTT player on in this situation?

What range do you put me on when I a.) flat-call BB's bet and when I b.) shove over BB's bet?

Lastly, what's your action and why?

I honestly don't know...I think the PF raise is pretty ridiculous with your stack size. Shove or fold or at least wait for some kind of a hand, throwing out 20% of your stack as a steal raise is not good. Anyway, it really looks like he's just begging you to shove over his bet, or he's just really bad, but that's not your read so I'd go with the first one. I don't really like any of the options here, I think calling sucks because you're just bleeding off more chips, shoving folds all worse hands and gets called by almost all the better ones, and folding middle pair on this board seems weak. His bet size is so suspicious that my official recommendation is to fold, but getting into this spot is the mistake on this hand...you should never be in this position on the flop.

(1) Fold or shove preflop.

(2) On the flop I'd shove and suckout if called.

Your True BB = 2800. You have 20K. That is less than 10 BBs. Shove PF.

Shove the flop too I guess.

PF raise size is fine, don't know if 10 are much different than 24+2. But at this level 3800ish gets the job done for me.

as played I shove the flop, given stack sizes you think he's leading a monster? i expect even a jack would just CRAI. shove flop, get 55-88 to fold.

With your stack I would just fold this PF though. Especially if with "excessive activity from everyone else", you should be able to get action on a good hand and double up easily.
