it doens't seem like you'd get caught. if you keep it in your pocket how would anyone know? only way to get caught is if there is a drug dog but i have never seen a drug dog at airport security (i've flown 50+ times at least). maybe i am just oblivious though

Whatever you do, dont just throw it into your bag. Any drug dog within 10 yards of you is going to bite your dick off. If you need to carry it on, the shampoo bottle works, but I am too much of a nit to that.
Just mail it to yourself. If you want to be extra carefull, put it in the middle of a jar of peanut butter and mail it to yourself.
