I agree raise, this could be weak Ax or A4/set, I'm probably felting this vs these villans if possible and the action continues o.k.

call, hoping to drag the button CS in to get some overlay. i don't think we're much ahead of villain's range here (junky 2p, sets, 56, slowplayed TPGK, presumed rebluff) but i call him down.

make a vb on river if checked to.

My first idea was to raise. But I like the overlay-thingy. The range of hands he could be holding here is very wide. He could think that you tried to steal the pot at the flop when you bet into it in position. So he could try to return the favor with a middle pair only on the turn. Villain doesn't seem to be very aggressive though, so it is unlikely that he stabs at a multiway pot with just a 7 or an 8. So he probably has some better hand. And there are some that beat you and are quite plausible.
