You play mainly cash games or tournament?

HOH is primarily geared towards tournaments
NLHETAP is geared towards cash games.

Concepts in both can be applied to the other though. HOH is the much easier read, especially for beginners.

Yes i understand one is geared towards cash games while the other towards tournaments. Im just wondering which one would be the logical first read? Does one elaborate on concepts from the other or does require knowledge that is found in the other. If ya get my drift, reply. Thanks.

I figured you got it and I got your drift. They're 2 completely different books. Both have concepts that are obviously applicable to the other (implied odds for example), however, if you use some of the strategies in HOH for cash, you're in trouble and vice-versa.

The books should be read almost mutually exclusive of one another.

Soooo, if you're gonna' play more cash, read NLHETAP. If you're gonna' focus on tourneys, choose HOH.

If you're gonna' try to do both, flip a coin.

Just flipped a coin...HOH.

HOH is better written, I'd start with that.
