pineapple, theres a ton of value in betting here. Not betting in barrin's spot is criminal imo, especially against fonkey who is laggy so can have a lot of weakish hands here. This is more along the lines of players acting irrationally and assigning different hand value strength to different hands even though they're essentially the same hand.

FWIW, he timed down to 1 second and sent me the hand afterwards which makes me believe that sometimes he folds QJ/KQ and sometimes he calls 88-JJ [img]/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

And what % of those weakish hands is he calling with? And what % ISN'T he bluffing with when checked to?

Again, the only reason I see to bet is if you plan to snap-call a bluff push.

But if Villain is your garden-variety, everyday spewtard, instead of a truly dedicated mega-spewtard [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img], c/c is clearly better IMHO.
