BTW, when they go for 2 after next TD, it better be the Calvin fade. Unstoppable, imo.

this is where the emotion in sports comes out. if they go for two after the first td and miss then the team would be deflated and might not have gotten the second td.

waiting gives the team much needed hope and momentum.

Why aren't they going for 2 right now? I just don't get it. Especially with the fact that they could've gotten the ball on the 1 yard line with the offsides penalty.

stupid question - if detroit decided to take that offside penalty, could they go for 2 from the 1 yard line?

I did not consider this. Good point.

I think there was a little bit of merit going for it right there (before the penalty)...GB just got run over on the TD drive, get the 2 then while they are shellshocked. Maybe, maybe maybe even more consideration should have been given after the half the distance penalty on the PAT attempt.

Doesn't work like that I believe. Otherwise it would've been the obvious choice. Also explains why the penalty can be enforced even after a positive play.

No, they could have taken the penalty and went for 2 from helf the distance.

Dammit, somebody reminded the Packers that they're good at passing the ball.

I'm sure the rule is in place this way to prevent blatant offsides jumping on extra points
