Is this a standard fold preflop in the sb with a minraise and 2 callers? And is there any specific reason why betting out this turn is better than check-raising?

Preflop is whatever.

I would lead the turn because it's generally considered a fishy line and such may confuse villain and get a few calls out of him.

MP was not the preflop raiser, and didn't appear very strong on the flop, so we have no reason to believe he will bet on the turn. Plus UTG is likely very weak, and we can trap him in the middle if he wants to continue.

And yes, very stanard preflop play your hand is junk and your position is horrible.
