Default Raised on a seemingly blank river

Opponent is decent post flop, but not good pre flop (cold called 99 from a middle position open and open limped 98s from middle position.)

I raise in early position with red Tens, he cold calls, button and small blind call, big blind folds.

Flop is 884 2 diamonds (9 SB)
I bet he raises, folded to me I 3 bet he calls

Turn is a black 3 (7.5 BB)
I bet, he calls

River is 5 of hearts (9.5 BB)
I bet, he raises

Can I fold here?

Sucks. I'd expect to see A8 or 55 a lot here, but the pot is pretty big. What % of the time do you think he raises this river with busted diamonds? That number dictates your action.

Based from what I've seen of him A8 is quite unlikely. He has a PP or big diamonds on the flop. So yeah I guess you're right it's based on how often he bluffs diamonds.

67d also gets there fwiw...

it'd be a pretty weird spot to bluff imo..

Id fold. 67 got there, he could be slowplaying and 8, this is live, you have one pair(well 2 pair actually but the one on the board doesnt count), he raised, you lose.

Yeah, just needed some validation. I was going to fold, but I gave the guy too much respect as I didn't think he would play a small pocker pair for a raise. So I couldn't really put him on a hand besides 88 or a busted flush so I called and he of course showed me the 55.

Why not play WA/WB here?

River call is probably right around neutral EV... so I'll call so I can alteast see what he is doing.

Are you saying to call his flop raise and check call the whole way?
