Re: 100-200 Bay 101 Questionable Hand
After re-thinking this hand over, I'm pretty sure I completely donk'd the description of this hand:
PREFLOP: UTG raise, mp call, hero 3-bet, button caps, UTG calls, mp calls. FLOP: UTG leads out, mp folds, hero calls, button raises, UTG calls, hero 3-bets, button caps. TURN (puts the backdoor diamond draw on): UTG checks, hero checks for the c/r, button bets, UTG calls, hero raises, button 3 bets, UTG pauses and folds, hero calls. RIVER bricks: hero checks, button checks. I originally thought the point of the story was a highly advanced thought process/fold, but the whole point of this regular's story was he talked the button out of value betting the river (throughout 4th street he kept muttering after UTG folded how this was a 'bad cooler') after figuring himself to be beat. I laugh now thinking how much thought I've put into this hand in the past 3 weeks. I need a life. |

I play it the same except that usually I would wait until the turn to raise to suck them in.

Re: 100-200 Bay 101 Questionable Hand
This is so easy, Small Blind KK, UTG AQ although it is possible Small Blind had AK. It really is player dependent in that 100-200 donkfest at 101. I personally would of called down.

[ QUOTE ]
Your anonymous friend is a fish and if he likes money he should never sit in that game again. I'm trying to be helpful here. His thought process is completely out of whack and he will get chewed up in this game which I have been told is pretty damn tough for a live game. He needs to fold preflop the first time around and the fact that he would 3 bet JTs, coldcall ATs, and intend to "take it away on the turn" if an ace flops is laughable. After that his turn fold is ridiculous as others have said. -DeathDonkey [/ QUOTE ] i say this way too often but deathdonkey hit this one perfect again, i think he has the exact thought process i do on all hands. He played badly but on the turn there is no way in hell u can fold to 3 bets here, he needs to call down. Idk how much was in the pot but say it was 14BB and he is going to have to call 2 more BB to win 16BB or something in that range, his hand has to be good 1 in 8 here to make it a profitable call, and there is no way that that is not the case. I wish i could find a high stakes player this bad |
