Default Battle Of the Blinds, Limped Pot, 3rd Nuts Deep stacked WTF?

NL200 Villian is a reguler but I dont think he's a winner, Ive seen him pull off some bad plays and make some bad calls. I beielve his stats are in the 17/5 neighborhood.
We're both semi deep, he has around $350 and I have him covered.

Im in the BB with 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Folded to SB who completes, and I Check.

Flop

J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

SB Checks, I Check

Turn

8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB Bets $6, I Raise to $16, SB Pushes for ~$320, I?

I definetly raise PF. As played I call.
I think you see two pair here far more often than a set. What are his PF stats? Is it likely he would complete from the SB with JJ or 88 and not come in for a raise?

Call, its an expensive mistake if he has jj or 88 but considering no pf raise I think you will see 222 or two pair enough to justify a call.

I think it's an easy call, I wouldn't even be surprised if he's "slowplaying" aces! If he's got jacks he most probably wouldn't do this. and given your post he's a bad player to be doing level 2 thinking here to make it look like a bluff.

R.

Dude, you call. Your set is disguised. You cant fold this hand in this spot. Guy could have a full range of hands he thought were ahead of you. More often than not, you are up against 2 pair in this situation. If he had a big hand like jacks or 8's why wouldn't he raise preflop against the blind. Anyway, its an instacall. There's not much you should fear in this spot.

Not that it makes a whole lot of difference but you should be raising preflop. I would also bet the flop.

I say call. It is a ridiculous overbet for villian to make unless he has you so pegged that he knows you have a set, which is pretty unlikely.
