Default FTP Ironman level. question...

Have made Ironman level for the 1st time. I was wondering. How many entrants usually play in the Iron level freeroll and what kind of hit should I expect to see against my MGR.

Or is it better to just take the bonus medals?

Are you a good MTT player? How much is your time/focus/part of your screen worth?

Good question. I'm not a real big tourney player, but if I focus and don't get impatient I have on occassion gone deep, but are these players in this freeroll usually in the upper eschalon of players, or just a bunch of grinders like myself?

I don't play the freerolls, I just take the medals, but I would guess that it would be just a bunch of grinders like yourself. If anything, the players might be weaker than you'd expect since the best players might not want to bother with the freeroll.

from what i've read on other threads on this is that first, ur tourney skills play a big part in ur decision...

second, so many people sit these tourneys out (or forget about them), so there is good value in the gold and iron freerolls imo...that being said, i make iron and still take the medals coz the tourney is pretty slow with all the inactives and it takes a while to narrow the field down

Back before the had the medals, I used to love the tourneys and getting rid of the dead stacks, but that was back when I was making bronze or silver every month. As you go up, each level has a higher amount of people actually there, so if you're iron, I wouldn't bother unless you're a real tourney donk. Medals FTW.
