vos is way to rational of a person to really get an awesome nvg thread going about him. the brandi threads are awesome because she comes to defend herself and is bat-[censored] crazy. vos on the other hand, doesn't add any fuel to the fire.

I met Mark in MC, he seemed funny. His posts here are awesome, considering all the threads are bashing him. He might be a douche, but at least he's funny.

This thread is pretty funny, I thought I'd chime in as I'm pretty wasted.

Before I start, I should say I'm friends with Mark and know him pretty well.

Yes he can come across *sometimes* as being a douche, but honestly I don't think that comes from the same place that causes actual douches to behave poorly. I think he just says things sometimes on the cuff which can be funny but can also come across bad if taken wrong way (like the Patterson thing, which he apologised for).

When in form, he is extremely witty and often hilarious. He often owns me when I tango with him, to the delight of my friends, who all love him, despite his ginga-ness.

He is ethical and honest to a fault. Very rare in poker.

I fight with him all the time, but mainly when I'm being sensitive or tilted. He is very much on the edge conversationally, and if you're not used to that style of personality, it can be confronting. But I would rather hang out with someone who was real and told you what they honestly thought, without being fake, like so many other people in life.

I am an unbashed Shaniac fan (from everything I've heard about him, having never actually met him personally), although I did see him take a sick beat against Gobbo super-deep in Aus Millions early this year and walk out with his head held high, which was pretty classy. In Shaniac's defence, although I'm not Vos and don't know for sure, if I had to bet, I would bet he knows exactly who you are [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

All in all, Vos is pretty widely liked in the Aust poker community because what you see is what you get. And because he's pretty damn entertaining when he's in the mood.

He does run sick good in coinflips though [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
