Re: Who is the fastest player in the nfl?
Probably Michael Bennett. His fastest 100m is supposedly 9.91, which would have been a WR as recently as 1991. He was supposedly clocked at at 4.13 in the 40 at his pro day.

don't they do this at the pro bowl? [/ QUOTE ] They do but you have to figure that the result would be different if it was done at the start of camp instead of after everyone is beat up from playing football for 5 months. |

NoodleMan,
I was about to post that. I remember he contemplated running the olympics, but decided to bulk up for football instead. |

Re: Who is the fastest player in the nfl?
Michael Bennett supposedly ran a 4.13 40-yard dash.
EDIT: Nevermind. Everybody else mentioned it. |

Re: Who is the fastest player in the nfl?
basically a summary of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/40_yard_dash
Fastest NFL player ever is either Michael Bennett(4.13) or Willie Gault (4.1 recorded in the 80's and probably hand timed). Deion Sanders has run a 4.16. Fastest of active player is DeAngelo Hall(4.15/4.24), Randy Moss(4.25 but he probably did this when he was younger). For reference the fastest man in the world, Asafa Powell runs the 40 in 3.9/4.0. This all assumes by "fastest player" you mean fastest 40 yard time as that is the only benchmark available. Personally I think this is silly as NFL plays rarely go 40 yards. They should do 10 and 20 yard trials to find better NFL caliber players. |
