with two people behind me, I'm raising the turn. This pot is too big to just call the turn here.

If you have a read that the guy c/r the flop is someone that only c/r that flop when AA is losing, then I like your "friend's" play.

With the pot being as big as it is I'd either 3bet the flop or raise the turn.

Id rather wait.

ILP. Rather safe turn no? Not great but not bad either.

I'd expect you to raise this one.. Tho it would be nicer if turn was a deuce or something

I don't think your hand is good enough to 3bet the flop. I want to see what the turn card is before bloating this pot even more.

raising turn seems to be the obvious play here, is this a trick question?

Hi, this was my hand. I'm glad Wes thought it merited discussion. Sorry for the lack of details.

The game was FTP $8/$16. The table was a touch calmer than usual, but still LAG. The UTG villain was 37.5/14/.9 over a small sample. The criminal justice system was represented by two separate yet equally important groups.

I had a 'feel' read that UTG's trapping checkraise was credible, which isn't to say it erased strong combo draws from my mind. On the flop, Ed Miller's "Two Overpair Hands" seemed to apply, but then I switched horses kinda-sorta-midstream and called down from the turn.

I raise the turn. With a pot this size, I'm more worried about maximizing my chances to win the pot than saving bets when behind.
