TY to this forum for helping me a lot so far this year in my quest to morph from square to sharp. It is a very slow process, but I can tell that some posters are quite sharp here.

TB @ IND - Total around 45.5
I'll take a noob stab at it -

J. Addai and M. Harrison are banged up.
TB lost C. Williams and their OLT.
The INDY DEF has been playing better than past years.
The BUCS DEF has been playing better than past years.
Where are all the pts. going to come from? Looks like an FG fest.

Is taking the under too obvious?

OT - I remember when these teams played a few years ago in TB and Manning led one of the most absurd 4th quarter comebacks I've ever seen. I'm sure that D. Brooks, R. Barber and whomever is left from that team haven't forgotten that one.

Indy gets the W but they hardly ever cover.

Bal and SF are both horrible. SF should be 0-4 and Bal should be decent team if they had a half decent coach.

Everyone knows what a disaster SD has been but Den hasn't faired much better. Barely won against Oak and looked silly against Jags.

Looking at the schedule in the first week I'd thought these would be great matchups.

These afternoon games aren't very interesting. (for me anyways)

I don't know where people are getting this? Yes, they stuffed the Saints on opening night but as we've seen, that had much more to do with the Saints offense than the Colts D. In the 3 weeks since, the Colts have allowed 20 or more points to every team and they're all middle-of-the-road offenses. The Colts D is ok but certainly nothing to write home about.

The Colts D centers around Bob Sanders. I would say that other than maybe Brady and Manning (and we'll never know about them since they're never hurt), there is no person in the NFL that is more important to his unit than Sanders is to that D, and it's not close.

Word I've heard is Sanders has a cracked rib and may be out. I've been out all day so haven't heard this officially, please update if that's wrong/updated. But if that's the case, I'm all over TB +10, TB ML, and the over in this game. Like two units on all of them or more. I've already got a unit of TB +10 and ML and need to check around about Sanders' status before adding more.

Travis Henry tests positive for pot. Would he be out Sunday? Or play? And would this greatly affect the denver/sd game?

OK, week 5 of help the n00b in the suicide pool. Didn't want to make my own post because it looks like Sports Betting isn't having any of that anymore. For those of you who have advised me in the past, thanks--I'm still alive, and I think a lot of people died last week.

I am leaning toward taking Indianapolis, but Tennessee looks good too. I have already used New England, Denver, Baltimore and Dallas. I just need a winner--point spreads don't count.

Discuss.
