also, I think I'm too nice of a guy when it comes to girls.

I always care about their feelings and whatnot. When realistically it slams me into the friendzone.

But I'm not willing to change because it's not worth sacrificing my sense of self to get material gain. There's always a tradeoff there I think. And I think it's necessary to give up at least part of yourself to even be able to live in this world.
The world acts as a great stabilizer and forces people to conform to a certain range of inherent good and bad.
But if you're willing to sacrifice yourself as a human being, you can get much more material gain in this world. For example, if you're willing to kill people, then you can gain wealth very quickly. On a lesser scale, say you're willing to physically harm them for money. Or even lesser, just stealing from people for money.

I believe that self-respect is one of the most important aspects to living your life and definitely the biggest aspect when it comes to self-happiness. And I will not sacrifice who I am even partially to get what I want.

Therefore I think I will be pretty bad with girls for a very long time, but I'm ok with that.

still lonely though.

John Singer Sargent: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Singer_Sargent
Incredibly underrated artists, and one of my favorite of all time.
Does a lot of portraits, but if you can find his landscape watercolors, they're unmatched

Sargent is a good choice. We have a print of this Manet work in our living room over the piano.

I really like this image. Not sure if it would really fit in with the general vibe in my room though.
