Re: 200 NL - KK facing AI check/raise
[ QUOTE ]
I think this hand is well played altogether. Bet sizing is fine IMO. [/ QUOTE ] Would you bet that big on the turn? I was thinking after a bit of thought that $60 was better as it still allows a fold to a shove but allows a river shove from OP if he just gets called again? |

Re: 200 NL - KK facing AI check/raise
I would call. You're getting a nice price on the call, and you'll see QX or a draw often enough here. You're probably behind most of the time, but you don't need to win most of the time to make this call.

Re: 200 NL - KK facing AI check/raise
Jam's advice here is easily the best I've read for a while and I learned this lesson yesterday a few times. I had a perfect read on my LAGtard opponent on a J 8 6 3r board - based on his timing tells and his loose play, I put him on 9 7. I had AQs. The problem is that I screwed up my bet sizes so badly that when a 9 hit and I pushed my remaining stack, he was getting 6:1 to call. He almos timed out and then called.
The point is that your bet sizes are going to determine, in large part, what you are going to do / opponent is going to do on later streets. Here, you're bet commits your opponent to a move which, in turn, commits you to a move. So, there is only one option here, there really aren't any alternatives after your flop and turn bets (both are fine). |
