Default [NL100] Folding top set to a 1/2 pot bet on river

Sounds terrible right?
100$ stack sizes, villain limps UTG, I raise to 4.50$ with red JJ. 1 caller, the limper.
Flop comes out:
J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
He checks, I bet pot 10$, he thinks a bit and calls. Turn is the
6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
He checks, I check behind (mistake? what do I do if c/r ai? snap call?)
River is the
2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
He bets half pot, I fold.

checking behind turn is ok especially since you have quite a bit behind. I still prob. call the river because your hand looks like nothing.
