Paradise points "bonus" - what are they for?

I deposited 200 hoping to get a $100 bonus but only got points. I contacted CS to try to get the bonus and they sent me this...

Looks like the loophole has been closed as I see my PPC points have gone up but no cashable bonus

I had the exact same code and got 50% bonus even tho they said just points. So yeah I think they may have fixed the glitch.
