Default 50 NL pay off flush ?

This drives me nuts about 50NL. I hate paying these guys off after they play so badly chasing their draws !

BB is 33/8/3.6

Given the odds are 6 to 1, do I have any choice but to call even though I'm quite certain it's a flush ! Is it likely that he doesn't have a flush and push like this enough times for this to be profitable ?

just call. its five dollars into a flumpin 26 dollar pot. if he has a flush, god bless him, theres no way you can fold top trips top kick. he could have Kx, and, well, there's just not enough money left to fold. he could have 68 and missed his draw, or JT or pocket nines or some [censored].
the bottom line is, its too little money, it doesn't matter, you can't fold.

You can't really fold getting about 7:1 or so. If he had a bigger stack then MAYBE if you had reads, but with his stack no way I fold.

shove river pls. You're doing this because on the river he's calling with basically any pair, some of these hands he could conceivably check behind on the river, costing you 5.25 or w/e he has left.

[/ QUOTE ] Look at the bright side...even if you pay off every time they hit a flush they still didn't make enough to make up for the terrible odds they had to make their hand on the turn. Also you only have to win 14.38% of the time on the river for your call to be correct and he'll have a worse King/7/68 to call. You should push yourself though.

shoving the river is sooooooooooooooooooooo much beter then check calling. he checks behind with a million hands that he calls a shove with. u r losing infinte amount of value by checking this river

CALL for surreeeeee!

I have 2 reasons to call.

1) I dont tink Villains range is exclusively Hearts. You know he is loosish + quite aggressive. why wouldn't he play KQ or KJ exaclty like this? when that second king comes, he may be more inclined to put you on any hand other than a king- allowing him to continue with hands like QQ, JJ, TT, 99, 88 . But to be honest i think KQ and KJs much more likely.

2) You are calling $5.25 for $31. I think these odds (i haven't calculated it) are SO good, that you can call without sweating it, because the few times you DO win, will easily pay for the times villain has a flush.

So YES, YOU HAVE TO CALL. and fwiw, i think villain has a flush less often than you think, and its probably a costly mistake folding the river.
