Yeah I like it, I don't think a donk turns 68, 8T, random pair into a bluff enough on the river even if he was stabbing the turn. And, by the river you don't beat anything he is betting for value. I probably play it the same.

Though what about crai on the turn so that he can decide we don't have an ace and call off with 9T. Is that just bad?

Agreed. The A isn't THAT big a problem since he's not floating AQ/AK that often here and there's less combos of AK possible.

I think randoms bet when checked to with lots of weird stuff.

Very interesting hand. I call pretty quickly, like you alluded to if the river is a non 9.

I think the fold is good here though it is definitely close.

Interesting... I am wondering if he might have TT, JJ or QQ here. The 9 is concerning. The way the hand is being played suggests to me he may be afraid of the ace rather than liking it. But perhaps he wants you to think that... Basically I've no clue.. Difficult to call imho.

I'm curious as to why didn't you lead the turn if your plan was to call an 800-ish bet? You're the pf raiser who c-bet a rag flop. I think most players in position holding a 9 or bigger pair woulda popped the c-bet. But checking the A gives you no idea where you are in the hand. Assuming a safe river, were you hoping for a check/check showdown?
