What kind of taxes will get taken out my paycheck?
So I hold down a crappy part time job (~20 hrs/week) to keep my mom happy so she lets me stay home for free this summer. Pays $7/hr base salary.
I haven't gotten my first paycheck yet. How much of the money I make will get taken directly out of my paycheck? Also, isn't there some kind of minimum salary you have to make in a year in order for it to get taxed? If I end up making under that minimum, will I get reimbursed by the government for the money that was taken out of my paycheck? If it changes drastically based on state, I am working out of Delaware. Thanks in advance, guys. |

Re: What kind of taxes will get taken out my paycheck?
They'll take maybe 20%, most of which you won't get reimbursed for. If you'd filled out your w-2 properly, they'd take like 16%, none of which you'd get back.
