with online poker losing players constantly i think we will see the high stakes games (bigger than NL1k) die out completely and the toughest sharks moving down in limits to be able to get action.

this will happen when the bad regulars who were winners a year ago realise that theyre now the worst players on the table. of course there will be the odd cases of tournament donks blowing some of their winnings and rich business men donating, but it wont be the same.

Can you also give the date when the world ends, please?

Yes please, I am VERY curious from what facts you take the following conclussion 'cause I can't see the high limits dying out, I can only see limits become higher and higher and and players that keep looking for higher boundaries... I mean poker isn't even on his way down yet, with some luck we are going to get the Asian pokerboom in a year or two at most, a bigger pokercommunity means more and bigger games, more regulars and more fish. I mean I know I am pretty much being optimistic here but I am also trying to have a serious look at the facts, so please, explain

I kind of thought the same way until recently, when IStrong pointed out to me that the opening of the Asian markets to Poker could be one of the worst things for us. Now you have a group of extremely smart/well educated people with a sick work ethic who make like $2 a day on average. You don't think that they are going to jump on the bandwagon as quick as possible.

What Poker needs is a cash influx like we used to get, with donks seeing the PP adds and buying in for $200 and playing over there roll. Not going to happen with the Chinese, since for the most part they won't have a roll to start with.

Not really, those smart and well educated asians moved to UK or US and have well payed jobs. I dont think this will be a disaster.
We already have great players from Asia but none of them lives there anymore.

I don't think that the really smart educated people make $2 a day in most Asian nations. I also am not worried, America has lots of smart educated people and it was good when everyone in America was playing, right? Also, stereotypically Asians are pretty big gamblers. It's a simple fact that when I go to a casino there is a higher percent of asians than there should be based on the population. So... why should we be worried?

There is very little value in high-stakes NLHE games nowadays (50/1+) but there is tons of value in high-stakes PLO games and I expect a lot of NLHE players to transition to PLO by the end of the year. A lot of them already have or are starting to.

Please tell me how many primetime 10/20 NL games there are compared to a year ago because I wasn't part, in any way, of the poker community back then so I am quite curious about that little fact...

About the NLHE vs. PLO discussion, isn't PLO a lot more of a gamble than HLHE ?? I always thought the luck factor in PLO was a little bit bigger than NLHE but explain because I don't play PLO (yet) so I don't know
