I did it to nail the turn because I knew MP1 would bet again

But if you know both opponents are going to the turn and MP will bet again why not wait till there? It seemed like the mo-money play for me.

Raise the flop.

Cap the river.

I'd advocate the river value raise, but if it comes back 3, I don't like the cap. What do you think we're ahead of here? I think a 3-bet is AA at least 50% of the time.

Shouldn't you also raise the flop because your hand is vulnerable to the gutshot and the flush?

A wise man once said if hit a set and loose and don't loose a boatload of money, you didn't play it right. I think villain probably plays AK and AQ just like this. It is possible that he gets cute on the flop (he could also have TT). I think you should have capped pre flop and raised until it was capped on the flop and gone from there.

True but a raise there would do nothing pot was too big. Figure I wait till the turn.

Cap preflop.

Raise the flop.

You didn't lose nearly enough money on this hand. Seriously. Raise the flop, raise the river. You have middle set. You're so far ahead of villain's range it's not funny. The fact that he actually had the quads is just results oriented thinking.

Shouldn't that be a reason for raising the flop? The pot is big, so they're gonna stick around. I'd definitely raise for value. Same thing for river play. I don't know how much of a read you have, but I could never put my opponent on two case aces.
