yeah, I mean I'm only down 3 buy in's on the day, so it could be worse, but that session might have been the most buy in's I ever dropped in that short a time span..... I mean it was insane, it was so bad I'm not even in a bad mood, kinda just laughing it off....

My roomate bought the new Professional NL book, so I read it and I must say that I am very dissapointed. Anyone else here read it?

Matthew,

I had debated buying it but heard that it was not very good for anyone beating small stakes and up. I'm thinking if Bobbo get's his book published it will be the only decent book on the market for midstakes+ NL.

ya it was seriouly aweful and very bad for beginer IMO. It focuses almost entirely around the Stack-to-Pot ratio. Often times the authors give an example of why its hard to play TPTK, and then follow up with a non-answer and say "now suppose if insteast of $200 u start with $66, reducing the STP ratio... blah blah blah". Or, tell u to open to 7BB with AA or limp reraise it. It has so very little useful application for online games (it may or may not be good for live but I never play it)
