Most laptops can handle more tables than you can, thats not the issue. Issue is screen size and resolution and your eyesight. You will want the highest resolution you can find (Dell isusually a good choice) and the biggest screen you can afford. I have a Dell E1505 with 1680 x 1050 resolution on a 15" wide screen monitor. Even with the tables at default size they are small and straining on the eyes.

My suggestion is to get a laptop if you need the mobility or other benefits of its size. If you don't like playing poker on it hook it up to a nice large high res desktop monitor.
