car stereo

so i have a 1998 jeep with factory sound stuff that sucks. my parents bought the car new and it has since been given to me. I don't want to spent a lot of money but right now it's not acceptable. I figure I need a new CD deck, 4 new speakers, an amp and 1 or 2 subs. Someone who knows about audio, does this sound ok? Where would you recommend looking to get my started? Anything else?
