anyone disagree on 3b call in hand 1 w/ only a 2k stack?

If you don't raise flop then I think you can fold the turn in hand 2 if villan has a tight image, and I assume he views you as a solid(tagish) player.

First hand i think was pretty standard esp with how often smokey was 3 betting and call ahead of me.

I am not sure of my image in exact 2+2 lingo, but im not really a solid tagish player in the way that i open a lot pots. Anyone who plays with me might give a better description. Also no one really at the table had a solid tagish image from my point of view.

So basically you're saying you dont think villain valuebets the river unless he has the nutflush? He could have any flush, a random 7 or a fh and id assume he bets all of these for value. I think this call depends alot on the ebb and flow of the game, although it looks like a fold

I think he meant that because you hold the ace of spades it means villain has not been leading with it as a (semi)bluff. So by taking the naked As out of his range doesn't it leave much of anything that he would lead out 3 times with that hero beats. I think its a marginal fold on the river

I think you have to fold hand 1 preflop. You dont have the odds to make a profit when you only continue when flopping a set (and anything else seems even worse). You wont always get them to pay you off and sometimes they draw out on you.

Hand 2 I play it the same up to the river which I fold. He is not betting the whole time with a FD as he cant have the nut draw. He can easily have a flush or FH.
I also dont think you can be glad no spade came on the river as I think you probably would have lost the same. B/c if he pots it like he did here, I dont see value in raising it on a paired board.

if you have no reason to believe you think he'd be tilting than i think you have to fold this river.

I play it exactly the same. Villain's flat call with AQ preflop is so horrible; I'd assume that he sucks, is capable of tilting, and can have a huge range of hands here, and with those assumptions your line seems perfect.

I play the same but fold river. It just looks too much like a value bet. I might call less depending on villain.

For those of you that think villain played hand 1 like [censored] what is ur standard line there vs an unknown? What if SB has been restealing a few times.
