Default FT 200NL HUHUHUHU

i bet the turn sometimes here. just depends on whether i think they might check/raise me with any top pair, straight draw, etc. wasn't really sure this time so i checked.

river is what i'm actually curious about. the bet is specifically to fold out a queen or a split.

checking behind is standard, is betting this as a bluff terrible?

If you're 99% certain he doesn't ahve an ace, I guess it's okay, but I doubt that assumption is true. I could see this as a good spot for villain to let you represent the ace, and snapcall your bluff. And shouldn't a Queen bet the turn? I mena, either youre winning, or he's c/c something that beats you? Might get him off a split though.

But HU is really read-dependent, I know. You should perhaps try the HU-forum?

well generally i like it, u might have the best hand u might make him fold the best hand(ore the split). i could play it the same unless i had some read that he calls "light".

Qx just seems so unlikely for him to have here given his turn action. Just check.

Heh, might be good against someone very good if they fold out Ax though. Doubtful that is the case though.

nah HU forum is junk.

you make a good point though, he could just call with a queen.

but if you're him, i think my hand looks like what it is on the flop and turn: a Q or J or possibly a straight draw on the. and if he thinks i'm checking behind a Q or J on the river after the ace hits, then there are very few hands that he beats that i would bet the river on.

i might be thinking too hard though i dunno.

I like your line of thinking, but I still like a check here. Worse hands don't call and Qx and Ax might still call.

it's harder to represent the ace given flop but he might be a fold station. this might be a spot where a smaller bet carries more credibility

you really dont need to turn you're hand into a bluff here, you have decent showdown value and hes letting you get to showdown cheap, so oblige
