Try not to measure your's and others' self worth on how much money they've spent on clothes and meals, and see how your life turns around.

TT I think you're being a little crazy. What are we supposed to call Chic-fil-A if not a restaurant? You can call it a fast food restaurant if you want, no one's trying to argue that it's gormet, high quality food. Either way though, there's really nothing more appropriate than "restaurant". Let's say you owned one and someone asked what you did. Fill in the blank

"I own a Chic-fil-A"
"What's that?"
"It's a _________"

[/ QUOTE ]

Fast food eaterie of course.

Are you seriously still arguing that Chick-fil-A does not fall under the definition of a "restaurant?"

give it a break miajag, can't you see when someone is taking the piss? Of course its a restauraunt... but its still a fast food place.... which makes comparing the stand at a train terminal and a sit down restaurant version of the same chain a little silly.

TT,

obviously you know I meant chic-fil-a restaurant, not a mall kiosk.

but whatever.

[/ QUOTE ]

The idea that you would ever consider it a restaurant is whats funny.

What should I call some place where I sit down and a waitress comes and gets my order and then brings me my food?

[/ QUOTE ]

considering the scenario, sit down to order fast food. Just because they have a waitress doesn't mean its not fast food. I remember when I was a little boy Pizza Hut was served by a waitress not at a countertop... it was sit down fast food back then too, my family wouldn't consider that to be worthy of the title restaurant. Fast food places are the bottom feeders of the food industry!

TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

[/ QUOTE ]

Pizza hut is not fast food. It may not be great pizza but your definition of fast food seems to be [censored] up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is your idea of a big night going to the Lobster Hut? Is TGIF's a romantic dinner for two? Do you have business meetings at McDonald's? If so then you aren't qualified to talk about what is and is not fast food. Get out and experience life a bit,eat at a 3 star Michelin restaurant, and you'll come back laughing when someone says Pizza Hut is not fast food.
