Chicken
I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now and it's great, I've learnt a lot, thanks.
So there have been a couple of TV shows about how badly chickens are treated in this country, basically even so called free range chickens live in huge barns with thousands of other chickens, they live in their own [censored], get pumped full of growth hormones and antibiotics and have their beaks cut off to stop them fighting. So I have been buying organic chicken breasts at around £6 ($12) for two, which seemed a lot but meh whatever if it's good for you. Now the price has gone up to £10 which seems really expensive. I have read people on here saying they just buy big bags of frozen chicken. Are you not worried about all the [censored] in cheap chicken or are they treated better in the US? Is it OK to just buy the cheap stuff? |

Re: Chicken
What's SMP? I might have worded the OP badly. I'm not overly concerned with animal wellfare, I'm concerned about whether it's a good or bad for my health to eat cheap chicken.
