I would have seen that as indicative of someone who is social rather than a player.

Based on some of the stories I've heard from female friends who have LavaLife profiles I've figured out that there are certain limited archetypes into which the vast majority of intenet daters fall into. With guys one of those is the "over committal guy". He'll basically think you are a couple after the first date. That line kind of makes him seem more casual so less likely to bring a ring with him to coffee.

lol funny thing is the first thing I thought when I looked at the picture is... the red eyes is the best picture you could find? You need to remove the red eyes it makes you look like the devil. Although I think without the red eyes you are good looking guy and also I agree about the shaving... definately need a picture where you don't have red-eye and are shaved.

I think everything you wrote was very honest and will be well received by the right person.

Turnons u listed Thunderstorms??? what?? lol seems strange unless explained BUT might lead to someone asking questions so you could leave it in there.

Henry,

Thanks, and please thank your gf for taking a look. I've fixed some things but no doubt more could be improved.

All,

What about my current tagline, which is: "looking for someone who has opinions and isn't afraid to share them."

I know that this isn't exactly clever, but I think (hope) it comes across as a genuine "I want to know what you think" (which is true) Thumbs up or thumbs down?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think the tag line is good.. shows you are a listener... lol despite that one post you made where you wanted a girl who can't speak english LOL that confuses me but at least you didn't say it in your profile.

Thank you for taking a look Janelle.

Ya I said one or two obnoxious things in this thread in impulsive moments of bitterness. Not how I really feel.

The picture with the red eyes will be gone soon, but I'll be keeping my beard since I wear it normally.

Also, I didn't initially have thunderstorms listed but I was a little light on 'turn-ons' and associate thunderstorms with snuggling on the couch (or whatever) so I added it.

Put snuggling then MUCH better to say then Thunderstorms. I would respond more to that then Thunderstorms.

Been good friends w/ a girl for about 3 monthes, and tried to move things along, but she just thinks of me as a friend. Since it's hard to ask her specifically what the problem is, anyone got advice on how to upgrade from just a friend?

This may seem really dumb because generally, I am. I have this 'problem' of sorts, where I cannot find a girl to just hook up with on a recurring basis. I always fall into this relationship nonsense. I am in college and this is the perfect age/period of time to have a strictly 'hook up' thing but I have always been in and out of semi serious relationships with feelings and what not. Thoughts on how to break the cycle?

I am not trying to become a PUA or whatever but it just seems silly to get involved with girls on a serious basis when I am at the age where I want to meet a ton of girls and not be concerned with getting caught up in serious feelings.
