Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 11.00 BB

Ignore the pre-flop raise. I tend to get a little antsy on my last hand when I get dealt something mediocre.

Button had been getting out of line all session, he started trying to blind steal like mad and got caught with 36o with a flop of 33K. He had been running pretty well and was generally agressive.

Button was 73/28/1.62

I bet out on the flop because the pot was pretty big, and the button was a spaz so I hoped he raised to kick the SB out. What do you think?

Against a total maniac, this actually looks okay to me, except pf of course.

I must say I'd be much more likely to c/r the flop, though.

I would have 3-bet the button on the flop, so that I could then lead the turn and river.

I would have preferred that to check/calling the turn and river in case the button checked behind.

Flop bet was also fine in my humble opinion.

Oh, and I ignored the pf raise as requested.

I considered check raising, but I was afraid of trapping the SB in with a marginal hand in a big pot. I'd much prefer to kick him out and win the pot right there. I figured he might peel one bet, but would fold to two.

That is why I thought that your flop bet was ok.

against an over aggressive opponent with a guy in between i'll generally lead out with a marginal hand in the hopes that he raises whatever junk he has

Yeah, I never said it was horrible, and if you had a good enough read that he would raise any POS, then it probably is best. I like Fantam's idea of 3-betting in this scenario though.
