Default FW 30 A green elephant told me this was standard.

Foxwoods 30(7 handed)

Villain is the same villain as this hand:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...part=1&vc=1

Cliff Notes: He's an OK player, aggro preflop, unafraid to take shots at me, passive postflop, somewhat thinking and somewhat tricky.

Preflop: I open 98 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] OTB, Villain 3-bets in the SB, we go HU.

Flop:AKK [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I raise.

Honestly I think everyone would be a lot better off if they stopped bluffing/semibluffing on paired boards in spots where the opponent likely has something. Yes AKK is a bad flop for a lot of his hands, but he's going to tell himself you have a flush draw and call down while hating it. The problem is you have a flush draw. This is a good hand to 4bet on the button preflop sometimes against this villain too.

I was going to ask about the cap after more discussion. Thanks for heading it off.

I say just call the flop because that is all I ever do.

Ben,

I like this flop play b/c villian is going to c-bet just about any flop here, and we want to put some pressure on him to fold out hands that beat us(66-QQ)+ any St8 draws.

If he views us as solid and he's passive post flop, I see us taking it down right here.

I think a lot of times he's going to crying call you down pretty light...

I think you have to hit to win... He's going to convince himself that you were on a total steal (which you kind of were)...

And don't forget...

1) You probably have to hit your draw to win.

2) If you guys hit along side each-other (like he defended with Q-10 of hearts)... it's going to cost you a whole lot of chips.

3) You could be drawing dead

Just call flop and pop him instead on the turn. A lot of rull ring players don't comprehend that turn raises can be bluffs/semi bluffs.

When did they get a 30 at Foxwoods?

I don;t hate it, but I'd call and raise the turn instead.

given villain's description, this is easy flop call/turn fold UI...
