Default U.S. Open Parlays

I've been parlaying the early rounds of the Grand Slams for a while. I'm posting so I can start keeping better records. It has been my best sport by far, but I don't know exactly how well I do so I want to start keeping track.

Basically my technique is to parlay favorites together until I get approximately 1:1 on my money. I look at past grand slam history, recent event history, and head to head info when deciding which favorites to take. I don't take a player unless I am almost 100% certain an upset won't occur.

I only go into the 3rd or 4th round at the latest, because once the seeds and better players start playing each other, it's too variant. Most of my picks are from the women's draw because I don't know much about ATP players.

8/27 Matchups

Parlay 1: Bartoli -1200, Likhovtseva -325, Shaughnessy -250

Parlay 2: Federer -5000, Haas -450, Sugiyama -250, Safina -1200, Safarova -2500

Parlay 3: Golovin -1500, S. Williams -2500, Bammer -700, Dementieva -1200, Santangelo -225

Parlay 4: Zvonareva -500, Harkleroad -160

Current: 0-0

Well, I guess you can't argue with that.

only one I noticed I didn't like was Haas over Darcis. Darcis can play and Haas has been struggling with an injury. I just wouldn't be taking 1.20 or whatever short price you got on him.

Probably won't make much of a difference, but why not just add Henin and Federer to each Parlay?

Went 2-2 on first day. Got back to L.A. so spent all my time at Commerce, but made a few plays:

Day 2/3:
Parlay (This one pays only about 73:100): Robredo -900, Moya -900, Tursunov -600, Hingis -1500, Vaidisova -800

Day 3:
Parlay (pays 1:1): Tipsarevic -325, Safina -300, Bartoli -1400, Safarova -1400

Current: 2-2

Just so you're aware, these bets are idiotic.

Why? I'm not being sarcastic, I'm new here, so I really am interested why you think these are idiotic.

uncoorelated parlays are -ev, they are basically vig traps.
Also you really have no system for making your picks, "I don't think they will lose" is not a system.
