Ace High Flush by two players???
Recent home game with two players in the pot. The turn card is the A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. The two players both hit a flush. One player has the K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and the other player has the 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I know in hold'em the rule is the best 5 card hand. But what about when two players have a flush, and the highest card possible is on the board that both players are playing. Is it a split pot with two players having an Ace high flush. Or does the King [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] take the pot since he has the second highest card? There was a huge argument between the two players and I want to know the proper ruling.

Re: Ace High Flush by two players???
Are there any rules on this site that grade schoolers can't be members until they hit puberty. You have 102 posts on this site and you don't know the answer to that question. You need serious HELP.

Re: Ace High Flush by two players???
You go by 2nd card. If 2nd card is the same you go by 3rd card. There are NO splits with flushes unless the board plays.

Re: Ace High Flush by two players???
This was at a friends house game, after the bars closed. I wasn't even a part of the game. Everyone just treated it as a goof off game and drinking till the sun came up type deal. I was thinking it wasn't a split, but again I was not 100% sure. So i was just verifying my info was right when i said it should'nt have been a split. I just needed something more than, well because I said so, ya know hahaha. You try reasoning something out at 3 am while everyone has been drinking since 9 and it's not going to go very smoothly. So in a way I am kind of glad I wasn't there.

Re: Ace High Flush by two players???
Most extreme example:
If the board is: As Ks Js 9s 2s One player has the 3s, and the other has no spades. The 3s wins. If the board is As Ks Js 9s 3s One player has no spades, and the other has 2s... it is a split pot. |

Re: Ace High Flush by two players???
this really isn't that dumb of a question. Noobish, but not dumb. I've had this argument with people on more than one occasion before.
MasterLJ summed it up pretty well. |
