Re: College Football Week 6

Re: College Football Week 6
[ QUOTE ]
You cant call it 50/50 in OT IMO. Id guess that LSU wins around 75-80% of the time in OT. LSU would easily have an edge and huge momentum at home after coming back. So 25% of the time they dont get it and leave the NC hopes in the hands of pollsters. Theyd be looking to fire Miles on the spot if he didnt make it. He'll continue to make those decisions and he'll lose a 70/30 as they say in poker and wont win the NC. I [/ QUOTE ] So... He's 70/30 to get a touchdown OR 75-80% to win in overtime plus give 5% to Florida scoring after you tie with a kick and leave them 90 seconds for... 70-75% to win! and thats with the (imo) crazy 75-80% to win in OT |

Was trying to predict the AP poll. I'd imagine WV is 11 or 12 actually. Maybe Wisconsin 10? Or Wis 9, UF 10? [/ QUOTE ] Doubt Wisc is in the top 15 |

Re: College Football Week 6
Wow...amazing day in college football. If only UCLA hadn't ruined it by letting ND win. Oh well, removes what little chance there was of ND firing Weis. Best to be the only the big program looking for a coach this offseason when Carr retires.
BTW, my "come up ins" reference was a meme on another board where a client sent someone an email using that. I use it all the time so I tend to forget. I am well aware of the word comeuppance. |

Re: College Football Week 6
I just went back and read through everything in this thread prior to the start of the LSU/Florida game, and couldn't help but ressurect this nugget of a post:
[ QUOTE ] Stanford at USC on "versus". "John David Booty" already said twice in first two mins! Can USC make it 36 consecutive home wins? Its anybody's guess. Stay tuned! [/ QUOTE ] Also... how was the ONLY mention of Kansas for one person to mention them, and one person to respond with a Mangini fat joke? After their win @ KSU today, which legitimizes their destruction of cupcakes, how can you not consider them the favorite in the Big Twelve North? They get Nebraska at home and don't play Oklahoma OR Texas. If Kansas still isn't ranked in this week's poll I will vomit all over Hawaii's top 15 ranking. |

Re: College Football Week 6
This would have been a much better week if UF had beaten LSU. And I don't mean that as a fanboy. Rather, it just would have been hilarious to have 1,2,5 all lose...and see the Top 5 be OSU, Cal, BC, USF, LSU/UF

[ QUOTE ] Question. If LSU loses, but Ohio State wins easily. Cal #1 or Ohio State #1? [/ QUOTE ] Ohio St. [/ QUOTE ] ohio state's offense makes me want to hurl at times. a good offensive team would have put 40points on purdue tonight. bucks had enough opportunities. todd boekmann intercepted 3 times, serves him right. hope he learns from it. buckeyes defense is absolutely outstanding but they dropped 5 interceptions. 3 of them my grandma could have caught. buckeyes #3 |

BobJoeJim,
Kansas State clearly just forgot to have their mascot rock out on a guitar pre-game to pump the stadium up. Wave those towels! Sorry, I guess that isn't mentioning Kansas, but rock on! |
