Skills Needed in PLO Not Necessarily Required In NLHE
I'm a NL player in the very beginning stages of learning PLO. The title of this post pretty much sums up my question--What are some skills considered very important in pot limit omaha that aren't necessarily so important in regards to no limit hold 'em? Curious to hear the responses, especially from those who have made the switch.
I already know not to overvalue big pairs in PLO. I also have a feeling that it might be pretty important to have nut draws most of the time but I'm not so sure--obviously it's preferable. |

Willingness to gambool; psychological hardiness against having your top set never hold up against draws; aggression; successful application of AEJones' Theorem; arrrr-eeeeeeen.

acepting that the flop changes everything
acepting that the turn changes everything acepting that the river changes everything (and thus mostly folding a hand that was a cinch on a previous street) |
