How much of a douche was I last night

party of about 25. Almost everyone there is a couple so very few single girls. One girl Stacy, has a bf not present, and her friend Jodi is single.

Other guy is friend of a friend. Haven't seen him in like a year and a half but hes a nice guy and I like him. We talk and he really likes the single girl jodi. They are also like best friends. I am hitting on stacy and thing look like they are making some progress. My housemate is flirting like crazy with jodi. He invites them back to our house to smoke up. We all leave and I expect my buddy will be railing jodi and I will taking care of stacy. This does not happen.

Anyways, how bad does OOT think this is. I felt kinda bad about giving my friend the go ahead with a girl that another guy was practically in love. If it matters, it has been a while.

cliff notes: semi-friend really likes girl, other friend makes effort to screw her, and in the hopes of getting some, I roll with it.

Sounds like it wasn't really your fault/problem/business. You didn't hit on Jodi. And it doesn't seem really relevant to tell your housemate, umm, don't hit on that girl, because some other guy you don't know likes her.

The only semi-douchey-ish thing you did was continually hit on a girl with an absent bf, IMO. But that's not particularly heinous at all, esp. considering nothing happened.

Edit: With this thread title, I was 99% sure I would be ready to respond with, you were a tremendous douche. Not the case, however.

No douchiness here unless you are also friends with Stacy's bf. If you are, you're a bastard of a friend. If not, then how is this your problem? Other guy could have hit on Jodi. Not your fault. If Stacy has a bf but wants to flirt with you and smoke up with you then it's not like you are forcing her against her will or hitting on a married woman.
